As a good employer, the University always considers ways to recognize the contributions of staff including those who retire from the University after a long and dedicated service. Staff, who have served the University satisfactorily for 10 years or more by the time they cease appointment, and in association their spouses will be provided with Courtesy Identity Cards which allow them to:

For long-serving retiring staff and in association their spouses, they are further entitled to an annual limit on medical and dental expenses of HK$1,500 per person (with effect from 1 January 2008) for consultations obtained from the on-campus Young Chung Yee Health Centre and the clinics of the University’s appointed medical and dental practitioners. The coverage will be provided once a year and each “year” period will span from 1 January to 31 December of a year. Details and conditions for using the services are given in the section below.

Preferential rates for medical and dental services provided at the on-campus Young Chung Yee Health Centre, the clinics of the University’s appointed medical and dental practitioners, and the Chinese Medicine Clinics operated by the Hong Kong Baptist University. Users may wish to approach the respective doctor/dentist for the exact charges.
