Prof Ir Steve Wong was born in Hong Kong and studied in Hong Kong Polytechnic and Warwick University, UK. He is the Founder and Managing Director of BillionGroup Technologies Limited.

With more than 38 years of electrical and mechanical consultancy experience and professional knowledge, Prof Ir Wong is a Corporate Member with the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (MHKIE) and a professional energy consultant with core specialisation in energy model planning, energy efficiency improvement and environmental protection for the building and manufacturing industries. With his contribution to the building and manufacturing industries, he has helped many organisations and manufacturers in successfully reducing energy consumption and improving competitiveness in their regions.

Prof Ir Wong’s recent endeavour focuses on the following directives:
1. Energy & environmental management like renewable energy, LNG & oil, energy efficiency, operational efficiency and waste water management
2. Waste management like waste sorting, resources recycling, waste to energy, etc.
3. Green transport system like airports, mass transit system, expressway, port terminals and electric vehicles.
4. Life technologies solutions for food, health, disinfection and medical development with sustainability including organic fishery & farming, fish feed 2.0, food preservation, etc.
