City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) becomes the only university in Hong Kong this year to secure a place in the prestigious global top 100 universities worldwide for most US patents granted and lead among all local institutions for the 9th consecutive year, ranking 32nd globally and 6th in Asia, further solidifying its leadership as a leading hub for research and innovation in Hong Kong that develops solutions to address global challenges.

Addressing this critical need, City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) is leading a groundbreaking research project aimed at developing an innovative technology platform for early detection of cancer and personalised treatment.

Over the past three months, CityUHK has strengthened its partnerships with the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA), Hang Seng Bank, and MTR Corporation (MTRC). This collaboration has leveraged the HK Tech 300 ecosystem to drive innovation across diverse sectors, nurture young entrepreneurs, and support the growth of deep-tech start-ups.

In 2024, HK Tech 300 continued to play a pivotal role in strengthening Hong Kong’s innovation and technology (I&T) ecosystem. As a super-connector for stakeholders across the industry, the programme provides young entrepreneurs with funding, mentorship and networking opportunities, and is aligned with the strategic goals of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and the national agenda.
