CityU HK Tech 300 Angel Fund receives another $20 million in support from four venture capital firms
City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and four innovation and technology investment companies signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) today (6 October) for the establishment of co-investment partnerships that will provide a total of HK$20 million in angel fund investment each year to selected start-ups with potential in various fields and supported by CityU’s flagship innovation and entrepreneurship programme, HK Tech 300.
City University of Hong Kong (CityU) shone once again in the 2021 top 100 universities granted US utility patents, according to the National Academy of Inventors (NAI). CityU placed 29th in the world, its highest-ever position and 22 places better than last year. Furthermore, CityU was ranked first among local institutions for the sixth consecutive year.
The “HK Tech 300 Pitching Arena”, organised by City University of Hong Kong (CityU), and one of the exciting online community events of InvestHK’s StartmeupHK Festival, was successfully held on 6 September. Ten start-up companies went head to head to compete for the “My Favourite Start-up” award.
