CityU of Hong Kong School of Law and Georgetown University launch Collaborative Degree Programme
The CityU School of Law has established two collaborative degree programmes with Georgetown University to offer the CityU JD/ Georgetown LLM and CityU LLB/Georgetown LLM. These collaborative programmes are a testimony to the School’s strong global alliances and provide CityU students with an opportunity to obtain professional degrees in the United States and Hong Kong. They will enhance students’ employability in both jurisdictions with an overall reduction in study time. Congratulations to Ms Bonita CHAN Bow-ye
The City University of Hong Kong (CityU) has recently announced the appointment of Ms Bonita CHAN Bow-ye to the CityU Court for a term of three years starting from 1 January 2022. Ms Bonita Chan obtained her LLB (Hons) in 1991 and her PCLL in 1992 from CityU. She was in the first batch of law graduates of CityU in 1991 and was for many years the chairlady of the CityU Law School Alumni Association. Ms Chan was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 1994 and has since been in private practice for over 25 years. She is currently a partner at Ince & Co. The School of Law and College of Business are pleased to announce an innovative professional degree collaboration across the law and business disciplines. An accelerated path to business and law courses will be offered by the Juris Doctor (JD) and MBA programmes from the 2022/23 academic year onwards.  Students may enroll in either the JD or MBA programme first, with opportunities to take courses from the partner programme. Credit units earned can then be used for credit transfer when the student subsequently enrolls in the other programme....
