International Collaboration and Academic Excellence: CityUHK College of Biomedicine’s First Symposium

9 January 2026

The College of Biomedicine proudly announces the successful completion of its first-ever academic event, Advances in Biomedicine Symposium 2026, held from 7 to 9 January 2026. This milestone marks an achievement for the College, which was newly established in January 2025. The symposium brought together distinguished speakers from across the globe, who delivered insightful and thought-provoking presentations on cutting-edge topics. Participants engaged in lively discussions and meaningful exchanges, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.

As the College’s inaugural academic activity, the symposium not only provided a platform for top-tier scientists to interact with the university’s faculty and students, but also served as a strategic international outreach initiative. By showcasing the College’s commitment to excellence and global engagement, the event has strengthened its presence in the academic community and paved the way for future collaborations.

Feedback from speakers and participants has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the symposium’s success in promoting scholarly dialogue and networking opportunities. A highlight of the event was the Student Poster Session. Among the 30 entrants, three students (see below) were awarded for their impressive work. Their posters showcased innovative ideas and promising research, highlighting the bright future of biomedicine.
