Message from Dean

The formation of the new College of Biomedicine signifies the importance that our dynamic university places on the field of biomedicine. This field heralds important challenges and thrills for the academic community alike. The confluence of data and the emergence of new technologies provide insights and opportunities that were unimaginable only a few years ago.

Our new college is poised to embrace this challenge. We combine the strengths of biomedical engineering with its technological capabilities, alongside the fundamental principles that are uncovered by biomedical sciences and neuroscience. Together, we will undoubtedly usher in exciting discoveries and hand in hand train the new generation of students to embark on this exciting world.

I am both thrilled and honored to serve as the founding dean of the new College of Biomedicine at City University of Hong Kong. I recognize the responsibility and opportunity that is placed in my care and will strive to ensure that City University’s College of Biomedicine is a key contributor to this transformative field.
