Student Athletes Admission Scheme (SAAS)
The admission of sports talents under the University's Student Athletes Admission Scheme (SAAS) is co-ordinated by the Student Development Services (SDS). This scheme aims to recognize student athletes with outstanding sports achievements for pursuing higher education at CityUHK.

You are required to upload the following supporting documents (scanned copies in pdf format) to the online application form:
1. Reference Letters (i.e. HK Sports Institute/National Sports Association/Sports Club/School)
2. Sports Achievement Supporting Documents
3. C.V.
4. School Report Card / Academic Transcript / HKDSE result (if applicable)
5. JUPAS Choice / non-JUPAS application record
6. Others

Outstanding Athletes Entrance Scholarship (OAES) for Non-Local Students
The aim of the Student Athletes Admission Scheme is to provide opportunities for outstanding student athletes to study at CityUHK. We are proud to extend the Scheme to attract high performing international athletes to CityUHK and further enhance the performance of our sports teams. This scholarship is co-ordinated by the Student Development Services (SDS) and the Global Engagement Office (GEO).

Outstanding Athletes Entrance Scholarship (OAES) for Local Students in Master's Programme
Master's Programme and Scholarship
This scholarship is designed for local student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding sporting performance and have been successfully admitted to a CityUHK master’s programme.
The scholarship is equivalent to the Top Scholarship, with a maximum value of HK$250,000. It is tenable for one year only, even if the recipient is enrolled in a two-year programme.
Selection Requirements
Applicants with outstanding achievements in sport, particularly those who have participated in international competitions. are welcome to apply. A selection panel will evaluate applications and select the most suitable recipients.
Application
- Complete the Outstanding Athletes Entrance Scholarship (OAES) for Local Students in Master's Programme Application Form.
- Obtain recommendation letter(s) from the Hong Kong Sports Institutes and/or the relevant National Sports Association (NSA) to confirm your recent sports performance (within the past two years).
- Provide academic transcript(s).
- Provide a curriculum vitae (C.V.) / personal résumé including your sports achievements.
- Provide the CityUHK confirmation email for the master’s programme application/offer.

Student-Athlete Learning Support and Admission (SALSA) Scheme
The Student-Athlete Learning Support and Admission (SALSA) Scheme is initiated by the University Grants Committee (UGC) to offer university education opportunities to elite athletes of Hong Kong in quest of their dual career development in sports and in academics. There is no minimum academic or age entrance requirement for elite athletes under the SALSA Scheme.
