Talent search attracts strong interest in Australia

Over 100 faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, and PhD students from higher education institutions in Sydney and beyond attended a Talent Search Reception hosted by City University of Hong Kong (CityU) on 4 March in this Australian city.

Led by Professor Horace Ip Ho-shing, Vice-President for Student Affairs, the top-level delegation used the occasion to introduce CityU to the large audience.

Attendees commented favorably and were impressed by the recent development and achievements of the University.

CityU’s delegation included Professor Hong Yan, Dean of the College of Science and Engineering, Professor Michael Reichel, Dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine, and Professor Julie Li Juan, Head of the Department of Marketing.

They gave presentations and responded to many enquiries about job opportunities at CityU.

In his speech, Professor Ip pointed out that CityU’s ranking of 57 was a true reflection of our faculty’s extraordinary research achievements in their own fields.

In addition, our focus on internationalisation had created a great number of opportunities for students to experience and thrive in a multicultural environment, he said.
