Outstanding consultancy services by marketing students

Students from the Department of Marketing (MKT) at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) were honoured at the Company Consultancy Projects and Active Learner Joint Awards Presentation Ceremony on 28 May for their outstanding consultancy contributions to nine corporations.

The participating corporations were Wilson Communications Limited, Snapple Beverage Corporation, the Diary Farm Company Limited – 7-Eleven (Hong Kong and Macau), Prudential Hong Kong Limited, Lubuds Group, BELLESA styling bar, Culture Technology Group, CLARINS Hong Kong and Well Synergy International Limited.

Professor Arthur Ellis, CityU’s Provost, Professor Julie Li Juan, Associate Dean of the College of Business, Mr Alex Tham Koy-siong, Senior Teaching Fellow of MKT, and representatives of the participating corporations attended the event.

The 120 students, working in 18 teams, conducted surveys designed to provide a better understanding of market needs, consumer psychology and patterns as well as market positioning of the brands and their competitors. They also devised creative marketing plans.

The winning teams received the Student Marketing Consultancy Project Award.
Outstanding Active Learner Awards and Active Learner Awards were also presented to 12 MKT students in recognition of their active learning spirit and performance.
