CityUHK Undergraduate Info Day 2025 empowers students to shape their future

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) will host its Undergraduate Info Day 2025 on 4 October at its Kowloon Tong campus, featuring over 200 activities designed to help secondary school students and parents explore academic opportunities and plan for their future.

Recognised as the World’s Most International University by Times Higher Education (THE) for two consecutive years (2024 and 2025), CityUHK is committed to offering students a globally connected learning experience and access to top-tier academic resources to nurture talent with an international outlook.

A highlight of this year’s Info Day is the launch of the direct entry option to the Joint Bachelor’s Degree Programme (JBDP), offered in collaboration with Columbia University. The scheme covers 12 four-year, dual-degree programmes and will begin accepting applications from high school graduates in Hong Kong and around the world starting from the 2026/27 academic year.

Students participating in the JBDP will spend the first two years at CityUHK, followed by their third and fourth years at Columbia University. Upon graduation, they will receive degrees from both institutions. Two representatives from Columbia University, Mr Curtis Rodgers, Vice Dean of the School of General Studies, and Ms Jessica Sarles, Senior Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships of the same school, will attend the Information Day to provide students and parents with in-depth insights into the programme’s benefits and future prospects.

Starting in the next academic year, CityUHK will expand its flagship programmes to a total of ten, offering students more internationally competitive professional training. The newly introduced Integrated Bioscience and Bioengineering Programme, along with two enhanced existing programmes, will cover a broader range of disciplines and align more closely with cutting-edge developments in their respective fields.

CityUHK offers generous scholarships to support outstanding local students admitted to its flagship programmes. These include full or half coverage of tuition and accommodation fees, as well as a one-off overseas exchange grant of up to HK$500,000. Students may have the opportunity to visit top global institutions, such as MIT, Imperial College London, Oxford, Harvard, Cambridge and Cornell, for international exchange.

The ten flagship programmes for the 2026/27 academic year are:

Integrative Bioscience & Bioengineering Programme

Creative Arts and Technology Excellence

For the 2026/27 academic year, CityUHK will offer over 100 programmes, with nearly 3,000 places available through both JUPAS and non-JUPAS admissions. There will be admission talks for both JUPAS and non-JUPAS applicants on the Info Day, with morning and afternoon sessions. Additionally, colleges and departments will host programme briefings, academic consultations, thematic exhibitions, campus tours and sharing sessions featuring current students and alumni to provide comprehensive support for academic planning.

Hong Kong-style snack stalls and various themed photo spots are set up across the campus, allowing participants to experience the vibrancy and international atmosphere of CityUHK first-hand.
