An International Animal Welfare Symposium will be held at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) from 21 to 22 November as part of the establishment of a Centre for Animal Welfare. The centre will be an integral part of the soon-to-be-created School of Veterinary Medicine.
Animal welfare has become an important issue in Hong Kong and the surrounding region. Today’s veterinarians play a major role in ensuring the welfare of animals. At the symposium, a large number of renowned international academics as well as distinguished speakers from local animal welfare organisations and the HKSAR Government will share their insights on issues about animal welfare in society.
