Honorary Awards Ceremony 2013
Dr Norman Leung Nai-pang, University Pro-Chancellor, will confer honorary doctorates on the following three prominent individuals at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) on 12 November:
l Dr Yukio Hatoyama, President of the East Asian Community Institute – Honorary Doctor of Laws;
l Mr Koo Ming-kown, founder of Nam Tai Electronics, Inc – Honorary Doctor of Social Science; and
l Professor Myron S. Scholes, Frank E. Buck Professor of Finance, Emeritus, at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business – Honorary Doctor of Letters.
Mr Herman Hu Shao-ming, Council Chairman, Mr Raymond Or Ching-fai, Deputy Council Chairman and Professor Way Kuo, President, will attend the ceremony.

Venue: Chan Tai Ho Multi-purpose Hall, 5/F, Amenities Building, CityU
Media representatives are kindly requested to note the following when covering the ceremony:
1. There will be two media zones inside the Hall. One of them will be at the back of the Hall, facing the centre of the stage. It can accommodate TV crew and photographers using tripods for recording and photography. The other is smaller, located on the right-hand side of the stage, and can only accommodate those using handheld video recorders and cameras. Media representatives are requested to stay in one of the designated areas until the end of the event and not move between the two zones during the ceremony.
