Six students from the Department of Electronic Engineering at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) are going to the London 2012 Olympics, not as athletes but as IT specialists.

They have been recruited by Atos, the official IT partner of the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee, to help support the IT services at the Games. They are the only placement students in the Asia-Pacific region hired by Atos for this sporting occasion.

Mr Raymond Lee Chi-ming, Managing Director of Atos Information Technology (HK) Ltd., Professor Man Kim-fung, Head of CityU’s Department of Electronic Engineering, and the six students will introduce the programme to the media at the event.
