The Department of Electronic Engineering at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) has set up the CityU-Microchip Centre with full support from Microchip Technology Inc. (Microchip) to strengthen its teaching and research work. CityU is the first academic partner of Microchip in Hong Kong. The company will offer exclusive resources in microcontrollers and embedded technology to the University.

Officiating guests at the opening ceremony include:

Mr Joe Krawczyk, Vice-President, Asia Pacific Sales, Microchip Technology Inc.

● Professor Gregory Raupp, Vice-President (Research and Technology), CityU

Professor Man Kim-fung, Head of the Department of Electronic Engineering, CityU

After the ceremony, students will introduce a sensor network that they developed using Microchip products during a tour to the Centre.
