The grand opening of the Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) will be held tomorrow (28 October). This iconic building, designed by the renowned architect Mr Daniel Libeskind, is one of the most visually exciting structures in the region, perfectly capturing Hong Kong’s creative spirit and intensity.

The Shaw Foundation Hong Kong Limited donated HK$100 million in September 2010 to support University development. CityU officially named its new Creative Media Centre after Sir Run Run Shaw in March 2011 in appreciation of his staunch support to the University over the years.

Media representatives should observe the following:

1. No parking space will be provided at the Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre.

2. 3D video will be broadcast at the ceremony.

3. During the ceremony, shooting and photography are allowed in designated zones. Kindly prepare long lenses for shooting.

4. A group interview with Mr Libeskind will be arranged after the ceremony.
