The Department of Management at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) will organise a seminar on 2 June for over 100 executives and human resources professionals to discuss effective strategies for attracting and engaging talent from the post-1980’s generation.

There will be a press briefing at 10:30am when the renowned speakers will share with members of the press their views on the subject and ways they recommend to employers for attracting and engaging the post-1980’s talent.

“Employee engagement” refers to employees’ involvement in and satisfaction with their work. There has been ample evidence in the West suggesting a positive correlation between employee engagement and firms’ attainment of strategic goals denoted in terms of profit, productivity and employee retention. Few studies have been conducted on strategies for attracting and engaging the post-1980’s employees in Hong Kong and the seminar is expected to provide some really unique perspectives.
