Silver Jubilee Reunion: CityU family event makes a splash

On the evening of 19 September, 2,500 members from the City University of Hong Kong (CityU) family, including Council members, faculty and staff, alumni and students attended the Silver Jubilee Reunion: Ocean Park Night, to celebrate CityU’s 25th Anniversary.

Professor Way Kuo, University President, took part in the performance with the park's dolphins and sea lions, one of the highlights of a joyful night.

Professor Kuo said Ocean Park is dedicated to conservation education, and had worked with CityU on a project that released captive-bred horseshoe crabs into the wild. CityU also has a deep concern about energy, conservation and environment. As well as the Centre for Coastal Pollution and Conservation and the Guy Carpenter Asia-Pacific Climate Impact Centre, the University this year established Hong Kong’s first School of Energy and Environment. The choice of Ocean Park as the venue for an anniversary reunion was a natural fit.
