CityU participates in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon

To emphasise its focus on whole-person development, City University of Hong Kong (CityU) organises the “Wellness March” from February to April every year. This year, in the spirit of the Olympic Games, CityU has formed a team to participate in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon on 17 February.

Officiated by Professor Richard Ho Yan-ki, Acting President of CityU, a flag presentation ceremony was held today (15 February). Professor Ho presented the school flag to the athletes and wished them a good performance. More than 300 staff, alumni and students have undertaken marathon training courses in order to be well-prepared for the race and to spread the theme of “Unity, Friendship, Progress, Harmony, Participation” that marks this year’s “Wellness March”. Apart from the marathon, a series of activities, such as badminton and table tennis tournaments and a Healthy Eating Competition, have also been organised.
