CityU student honoured with Asia Photo Awards

 

Evian Zhu Yi-yun, a final-year student in the School of Creative Media at City University of Hong Kong (CityU), has received the Silver Award in the Student Division, Photojournalism (single) of the Asia Photo Awards 2007 with her work “Old barber shop”.

 

Evian said she was reminded of her home town Shanghai when she first encountered the old-style barber shop that features in her photo. She thanked Mr Julian Lee Chi-chiu, Associate Professor, and Mr Phil Shek Ming-fai, Instructor, both from the School of Creative Media, for all their help and dedication.

 

The Asia Photo Awards are organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Professional Photographers. The aim is to promote the Asian photography industry, art, design and advertising.
