City University of Hong Kong (CityU) has embarked upon the Outcomes Based Teaching and Learning (OBTL) project, a key programme that complements the University’s planning for the four-year undergraduate curriculum. The aim of this major initiative is to establish a framework in which teaching and learning activities are made more effective, thus improving the overall quality of teaching and learning at the University.
More details concerning the project will be announced at the press conference, and those attending will include:

· Professor Paul Lam Kwan-sing, Acting Vice-President (Undergraduate Education) of CityU;
· Professor Joseph Cheng Yu-shek, Chairman, Quality Assurance Committee, CityU;
· Dr Louis Ma Chee-keung, CityU representative at the Inter-institutional Task Force on Outcome-based Approaches in Student Learning set up by the University Grants Committee; and
