About 100 technology projects created by junior form students from 16 secondary schools will be exhibited in the MEEM Technology Project Competition and Exhibition for the Youth 2007 to be held at CityU on 13 January. Projects include robots, a solar energy vehicle and ‘smart’ shoes for senior citizens. Judges will select winners using creativity, application of technology, appearance, production techniques and presentation as criteria.
The event is jointly organized by the Department of Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Management at CityU; the Electronics Technology Education Association (H.K.); the Hong Kong Robotic Olympic Association; and the Chinese Technical Press Ltd. The aim is to reward secondary school students who have produced outstanding results in technology learning activities.
A number of first-grade, second-grade, merit and special prizes will be announced during the ceremony.
