The Department of Management Sciences at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) will announce the findings of the CityU–Hong Kong Consumer Satisfaction Index (CityU–HKCSI) 2006 on 21 December.

CityU–HKCSI, a performance indicator for Hong Kong businesses, measures consumer satisfaction with the quality of products (goods and services) purchased in Hong Kong. The survey has been conducted since 1997 and the study this year also covers the habits of Hong Kong consumers when they shop in mainland China, plus the frequency and the nature of their visits.

The findings are based on more than 127,000 interviews with consumers conducted over the last ten years using a computer-assisted telephone interview system.
