CityU Creative Media student shines at Korea International Youth Film Festival

The animation Gilbert by Judy Ma Ping-on , a fresh graduate of the School of Creative Media (SCM), is awarded Technical Excellence Award at the 3rd Korea International Youth Film Festival (KIYFF) held in South Korea in October 2006.

The theme for KIYFF is “Dream” this year. It received over 200 entries from Asian countries and regions, including Hong Kong, Beijing, Japan and South Korea, from which 24 works were short-listed. Two of them are from Hong Kong, both from SCM.

In today’s media session, Judy shares her learning experiences at CityU with the other two fresh graduates who are both first class students. They are Felix Ng Lok-hang in Bachelor of Laws with Honours (LLB) and Angee Chan Yee-ki in Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) in Service Operations Management.

Felix is now studying for his Master of Civil Law at the University of Oxford, majoring in international private law, arbitration and restitution. He plans to study for the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws at CityU after finishing his master’s degree in law next year.

Angee participated in several local or overseas internship programmes, including Disney World in Florida during her studies at CityU. She is working in an established property management company, showcasing how students develop into professionals.
