City University of Hong Kong (CityU) has teamed up with Shenzhen University to co-host the Student Leadership Conference (SLC) 2006 to be held at the two campuses from 23 to 31 July. More than 140 student leaders from 27 renowned universities worldwide will gather at the conference to exchange ideas on the theme “Leadership for a Changing World”. 

The conference is organized by students from both universities. Participants will explore issues on the economy, society and environment in a global context and look for leadership qualities crucial in tackling these issues.

The opening ceremony is to be officiated by Professor Richard Ho Yan-ki, Vice President (Undergraduate Education), CityU; Professor Lilian Vrijmoed Kwan Lee-ping, Dean of Student Learning, CityU; Mr Yang Guohong, Director of Student Affairs, Shenzhen University; and Ms Chiang Lai-yuen, Chief Executive Officer, Chen Hsong Holdings Limited.
