Four academic departments-- Biology and Chemistry (BCH), Electronic Engineering (EE), Economics and Finance (EF), and Accountancy (AC) and the Centre for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT) are collaborating in a project to enhance students' learning and growth. The project, the Virtual Learning Support Centre for Students (VLSC), is a cyber location for participating departments to post web pages specifically devoted to students' learning.

CityU sports teams won by flying colours in this year's inter-collegiate sports competitions, organized by the Hong Kong Post-Secondary Colleges Athletic Association (HKPSCAA). Both our men's and women's teams captured the overall champion titles.

Academic departments will need to go through the evaluation process for the Reward Scheme to Maximize Students' Learning once every three years, instead of once every year. Moreover, it has been proposed that the amount of the award should be $3 million, or 10 per cent of the current departmental annual budget, whichever is less.

Eighteen Student Ambassadors have been recruited this year to continue promoting the University's image while enhancing community relations through learning and serving. "They are not just representing our University--they are our University," said Professor Edmond Ko, Vice-President of Education and one of the programme advisors, at the fourth Student Ambassadors Inauguration Ceremony on 5 March.
