The Sichuan Earthquake Concern Group formed by CityU students, alumni and staff visited affected areas to help disaster survivors get over grief and rebuild their lives with therapeutic games on 11 August to 20 August.

CityU Gallery is hosting an exhibition, "Ming Qing in the Eyes of Ming-Qing", showing around 80 items of antique Chinese calligraphy, paintings, musical instruments and daily commodities from Ming and Qing dynasties from 5 to 26 September.

Some CityU students worked as volunteers at the 2008 Olympic equestrian events in Hong Kong. Some performed duties as ceremony hostesses, sharing with athletes the joys of their success, and one of them served international royal family dignatories.
