CityUHK Undergraduate Info Day 2026 inspires students to plan their study pathways and broaden their global horizons

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) will host its Undergraduate Info Day 2026 on 3 October (Saturday) at its Kowloon Tong campus, making it one of the first of the eight UGC-funded universities to organise an Info Day this academic year. Secondary school students can find out about the content, admission requirements and scholarship arrangements of the programmes that interest them, meet professors and current students face to face, and experience campus life at CityUHK at first hand, while parents and teachers can learn about the latest admission arrangements at the admission talks and help students plan their study pathways. Representatives of CityUHK’s partner institutions, Columbia University and CentraleSupélec, Paris-Saclay University (CentraleSupélec), will attend the Info Day to introduce the Joint Bachelor’s Degree Programmes, which have proved popular among students.
CityUHK has been named the “Most International University in the World” by Times Higher Education (THE) in 2024, 2025 and 2026, and is committed to providing students with a diverse international learning environment. The University continues to expand the Joint Bachelor’s Degree Programme offered with Columbia University, one of the Ivy League universities in the United States. Mr Curtis Rodgers, Vice Dean of Columbia University’s School of General Studies; and Ms Jessica Sarles, Senior Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships of the same school, will introduce the programme at the Info Day and share insights into campus life at Columbia University. Students admitted to the programme complete their first two years of credits at CityUHK before undertaking their third and fourth years at Columbia, graduating with bachelor’s degrees from both institutions.
The Joint Bachelor’s Degree Programme offered with CentraleSupélec will also be expanded from 2027 entry, adding programmes of the College of Computing to those of the College of Engineering. Professor Olivier Gicquel, Executive Director of the programme from CentraleSupélec, will introduce it to students and parents at the Info Day. Students admitted to the relevant programme through JUPAS and Gaokao will begin their first two years of study at CityUHK, whereas non-JUPAS and non-Gaokao students have the flexibility to start at either CityUHK or CentraleSupélec. Students will then move to the partner institution for their third and fourth years. Upon fulfilling the requirements of both curricula, students will be awarded bachelor’s degrees from both universities.
CityUHK flagship programmes are developed in close collaboration with leading institutions worldwide, offering outstanding students internationally competitive professional training and generous scholarships, and have long been a focus of interest for students and parents. The University offers ten flagship programmes, one from each College or School, showcasing their distinctive academic strengths and excellence. Students who complete the designated law core courses and two Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) prerequisite courses will satisfy the requirements of the Standing Committee on Legal Education and Training to apply for admission to the PCLL, while the BSc in Computer Science programme is accredited by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, and its graduates receive reciprocal recognition under the Seoul Accord from the equivalent bodies in Australia, Canada, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK and the US. The programme nurtures talent with expertise in both law and artificial intelligence to address legal challenges in a technology-driven landscape.
The Info Day features over 200 activities in total, including admissions and programme talks, highlighting a JUPAS Admissions Talk, jointly delivered by Professor Alan Wan Tze-kin, Associate Provost (Academic Affairs); and Dr Lam Chun-mo, Director of Admissions Office, providing prospective students with first-hand information on the University’s admissions arrangements and programme offerings. In addition, there will be campus and facility tours and demonstrations, exhibitions, admission consultations, interactive activities and workshops and student and alumni sharing sessions, along with student performances, a sports centre tour and a sports team showcase.
