The calligraphy exhibition, "The Rapport in Calligraphy: Ancient Classics and Cultural Exchange", organised by the Calligraphy Connections Project of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong (KCC) displays nearly fifty calligraphy artworks created by prestigious Korean and Chinese academicians as well as students. These artworks were extracted from Siku Quanshu (四庫全書) and The Collection of Korean Anthologies (韓國歷代文集叢書). The exhibition aims to facilitate the academic exchange of literature through calligraphy. Consul General Baek Yong-chun (from Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong), Academician King Yeo-chi, Director Lee Young Ho (from KCC), Consul Lee Hwa Bin (from the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong) and a number of guests attended the guided tour hosted by the CityU student curators (Li Jingyan, Richard Wong and Zou Huiqi) and carried out calligraphy exchanges on July 17th 2021. Consul General Baek Yong-chun wrote Farewell to Officer Du Leaving for His Post in Shu (Sichuan), authored by Wang Bo. Academician King Yeo-chi also wrote On A Rainy Autumn Night, authored by Choe Chi Won. The guided tour showed the beauty of traditional Chinese and Korean culture along with calligraphy in six different ways. CityU students introduced the exhibits. Ms. Hyun Ju Lee (from UOW College Hong Kong) recited Chinese poems in Hanja. Dr. Jennifer Cheung (Court Member, CityU), Professor Liu Meichun and Prof Kit Chun Yu (Department of Linguistics and Translation, CityU) recited the echo poems (with the same rhyme) of Sunset at a Fishing Village, one of the Eight Views of the Xiao and Xiang Rivers, authored by Yi Je-hyeon. The winners of the JC Poetic Heritage Awards 2021 recited the English translation of the poem. The JC Poetic Heritage Awards was established by Dr. Jennifer Cheung Ng Chui Yiu to promote cultural exchanges beyond boundaries through the translation of classical East Asian poems. The visually impaired student (Sharon Choi) and her supporting buddy (Joey Lam) showed how to appreciate calligraphy artworks by touching and listening. Guests and visitors watched the documentary "Korean Classics Alive in Hong Kong - Choe Chi-won" shot by CityU students.

由駐香港韓國文化院和香港城市大學書法傳承與互聯項目組主辦的「千載毗鄰：由書法看文字古籍」書法展呈獻了來自中韓院士學者及學生逾50幅源自《韓國歷代文集叢書》及《四庫全書》的作品，旨在以書法推動人文學術交流。2021年7月17日，大韓民國駐香港總領事館白龍天總領事 ，金耀基院士，駐香港韓國文化院李柍昊院長，大韓民國駐香港總領事館李和玭領事及多位嘉賓出席由城大學生策展人李靖妍，王瑋樂，鄒惠琪主持的展覽導賞活動並開展書法交流。白龍天總領事親筆手書唐朝王勃《送杜少府之任蜀州》， 金耀基院士亦揮毫作韓國文人崔致遠《秋夜雨中》。是次導賞活動以六種不同的方式展示中韓傳統文化及書法之美。香港城市大學學生介紹展出作品。香港伍倫貢學院李玹周講師以韓語朗誦漢詩。城大顧問委員會委員張伍翠瑤博士，翻譯及語言學系劉美君教授與揭春雨教授朗誦李齊賢《瀟湘八景 – 漁村落照》原韻和詩。2021齊思古詩新解新譯比賽獲獎者朗誦該詩英文翻譯。該獎項由張伍翠瑤博士資助，以翻譯東亞文學經典的方式推動跨文化交流。視障學生蔡樂詩及講者林祖瑩展示觸聽書法。參觀者觀看城大學生製作紀錄片「韓國古籍活在香港 – 崔致遠」。

Lighthouse Memories: Waglan Island Lighthouse (Japanese Version)
灯台の記憶：ワグラン島灯台（日本語）この作品は、イギリス植民地時代の香港で、1893年に点灯したワグラン島灯台に関連する人々の記憶や記録を集めたドキュメンタリーで、日本語版の他に中国語(普通話)版があります。日本語版の『灯台の記憶：ワグラン島灯台』は、香港政府の運輸及房屋局「海運及空運人才培訓基金」の助成を受けて香港海事博物館と共催した学術セミナー『暗闇に見る：香港の港と灯台』(2021年5月1-2日)のために制作して上映した作品『燈塔記憶：横澜島燈塔』に、日本語の字幕とナレーションを付けたものです。
英語、中国語の普通話、中国語の広東語、日本語の４言語にまたがる灯台の記憶や記録は、香港城市大学 人文社会科学部 メディア・コミュニケーション学科、翻訳言語学科、並びに香港城市大学 邵逸夫図書館の学際的な連係による調査研究で鮮やかに蘇り、植民地の中で育まれたイギリス人灯台守と蛋家【たんか】(海人【あま】)と呼ばれた水上生活者たちとの美しい絆紐を見せてくれます。
映像にして紹介した史料の中には、佐賀県立図書館寄託で公益財団法人鍋島報效会が所蔵する、香港の中国語新聞『遐邇かじ貫かん珍ちん』(1856年5月1日、モリソン教育協会発行、英華書院印刷)の書写があります。この新聞は、海上の船を導くための建物の用語として、初めて「燈塔【とうとう】」という言葉を記載した大変貴重な史料です。さらにこの書写にあっては、中国語史料であると同時に朱墨で訓点を加えた漢文訓読語としての日本語史料でもあり、保存状態も良く、その筆は繊細です。またこの書写を見れば、まだ灯台を見たことがないイギリス領香港の人々の灯台に対する認識や、その香港から発信されるニュースに強い関心を寄せていた日本人が幕末にいたことを窺い知ることができるでしょう。
こうした国際的で革新的な取り組みは、香港城市大学 邵逸夫図書館の『伝統文化遺産保存と伝承』–「灯台遺産学術調査コネクションズ」(LHRC)が主導するものの一つであり、LHRCは、2021年6月に、「革新的国際図書館プロジェクト」として『2021年アメリカ図書館協会 会長賞』を受賞しています。

燈塔記憶：横澜島燈塔 (粵語版)簡介:
橫瀾島燈塔至今已屹立了超過122年，是中國海關總稅務司署韓德善(David Marr Henderson)總營造司(總工程師)在中國服務29年所協助興建的34座燈塔之一。因歷經二戰砲火與日軍佔領3年零8個月，很多原始的建築圖則已經遺失了。橫瀾島燈塔與大連老鐵山燈塔是姊妹塔，都向法國購買了當時世界上最先進的頭等白色透鏡。於1893年同時啟用後，成為了當時東亞射程最遠、最閃亮的燈塔。
LHRC項目組在2019年專程到英國拜訪韓德善曾孫女Felicity Somers Eve，以蒐集手繪圖則與相關文獻。從駐守在橫瀾島燈塔20年的花維路(Charles Beatty Allenby Haig Thirlwell)與水上人社群的故事中，我們看到原本寂寂無聞的燈塔守以一己之力，宣揚互愛互助的理念，幫助水上人融入殖民時期的香港社會，消弭可能產生的社會分歧，因此他的事蹟也廣為水上人傳頌。字裡行間，我們不僅可以重溫燈塔科技日新月異的發展，還體會到水上人相互合作，彼此提攜，乘風破浪以創造集體榮景的溫暖歷程。
此紀錄片由專家講解及展覽韓德善的橫瀾島燈塔建築原始圖則，和LHRC項目團隊應用數字虛擬3D重建技術還原的橫欄島燈塔1893年建築原貌。並透過和花維路家人與漁民朋友們的訪談一起回顧他們的家族檔案與老照片，讓觀眾們看到燈塔背後的人文故事。

For serving as a model to other libraries of how to make Digital Humanities an inclusive and participatory force within their community.
For creating a project that continues to develop and incorporates diverse patrons from different cultures, skills and fields of interest. Patrons contribute to the LHRC project by: conducting focused research on different aspects of lighthouse heritage, helping with the transcription and translation of archival documents, creating digital renderings and artworks, taking part in study trips, documenting photographs, developing flim documentaries, and acting as curators of events and exhibitions.
For creating a local history project that is growing and collaborating with other local partnerships, like the Hong Kong Maritime Museum and other City University departments.
For incorporating ACRL Framework for Information Literacy and prioritizing different learning needs of their community.
For its commitment to ensuring visually impaired patrons both participate and contribute to LHRC. Audio-description trainings and aids like prerecorded audio tracks played by scanning QR codes model inclusion for libraries and museums. This project empowers visually impaired patrons to share how they experience cultural heritage projects and offer ways to share their perspective.
