Departmental-level Exchange Programmes (Outbound)
1. General Requirements
- Applicants must have completed at least one year of their bachelor's degree programme in CHEM before the start of their exchange programme.
- Applicants must have attained a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 2.5 in their latest semester or term of study.
- Applicants must fulfill one of the following English language requirements:
- A minimum TOEFL total score of 79 (internet-based test) or 550 (paper-based test)
- A minimum IELTS overall band score of 6.5
- Public Examinations:
- Level 4 or above in HKDSE English Language
- Grade C or above in one of the following:
- HKALE Use of English / English Literature
- GCEAL English Literature (or Grade B at GCSE English Language)
- Senate approved English courses: Grade C or above
- Any other equivalent English proficiency result, including a minimum of 1650 SATI or International Baccalaureate Diploma with an overall minimum score of 28.

4. Financial Support
The Student Exchange Fund provides financial support to CityU full-time students in government-funded bachelor's degree programmes who are Hong Kong permanent residents.
