Prof. Ka-Leung Wong, Gary, is Chair Professor of Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry at The City University of Hong Kong. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from The University of Hong Kong and completed a Royal Society Postdoctoral Fellowship at Durham University with Prof. David Parker, FRS. He began his independent research career at Hong Kong Baptist University and was eventually promoted to Chair Professor in 2021 before joining PolyU in 2023.
An internationally recognized leader in lanthanide chemistry, spectroscopy and cancer theranostics, he has authored over 200 peer-reviewed articles in esteemed journals such as Nature Biomedical Engineering, Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences, Journal of American Chemical Society and Angewandte Chemie, with an h-index of 65 and more than 11800 citations (Google Scholar).
