CityUHK Biomedical Engineering Ranks Among World’s Top 50 in ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2026

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) delivered a stellar performance in the newly released ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) 2026, securing top rankings across 44 disciplines, including four subjects in the world's top 10, 22 subjects in the global top 50, and 10 claiming the top spot in Hong Kong, with Biomedical Engineering under the College of Biomedicine placing among the world's Top 50 subjects.

GRAS evaluated over 3,000 universities worldwide across 57 subjects in Natural Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Social Sciences. CityUHK expanded its overall academic presence this year, demonstrating exceptional strength across a wide spectrum of disciplines.
