Research Grants Council (RGC) Biology and Medicine Panel Visit to the College of Biomedicine
The College of Biomedicine (CBM) was delighted to welcome the RGC Biology and Medicine Panel, comprising esteemed local and international scholars, for a campus visit on 11 June 2026.
The visit commenced with remarks by Dean Professor Isaiah Arkin, who outlined the College's vision of integrating biomedical engineering, biomedical sciences and neuroscience to drive interdisciplinary innovation and address health challenges. He also highlighted that the College's strong community of distinguished faculty, talented researchers, and robust research funding underscores its growing international presence and impact.
Panel members then took part in an engaging programme that included visits to state-of-the-art laboratories and a vibrant poster session. These presentations showcased CBM's strength in translating fundamental discoveries into impactful solutions for real-world health challenges, while fostering lively and insightful exchanges between panel members and researchers.
