Successful Launch of College Orientation for Undergraduate Students Sets Positive Tone for New Academic Year
On 26 August 2025 (Tuesday), the College of Biomedicine (CBM) recently inaugurated its College Orientation for incoming undergraduate students, marking the beginning of the academic year with a promising start. The event, meticulously structured to familiarize students with campus life and resources, featured insightful sessions and key presentations.
The morning began with a warm welcoming address from Professor Isaiah Arkin, Dean of the College of Biomedicine. Professor Gigi Lo Pui-chi, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Education), then provided a comprehensive overview of the undergraduate studies offered at the College. Both Professor Arkin and Professor Lo underlined the value of balancing dedicated study with enjoying a fulfilling university life experience throughout the four-year academic journey.
Subsequently, Ms Lamon Lau, Careers and Employability Consultant from the Career and Leadership Centre under Student Development Services, introduced essential career-related services available to undergraduate students. Mr Carl Tang, Associate Director of the Global Engagement Office, highlighted the diverse global study opportunities awaiting the students.
The morning’s activities concluded with a collective group photo session, capturing the shared enthusiasm of the attendees.
As the College of Biomedicine looks ahead to the future, it anticipates a rewarding academic year, building upon the positive energy and harmony fostered during the successful College Orientation.
