Congratulations to the College of Biomedicine Graduating Class of 2025!
The College of Biomedicine (CBM) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) proudly hosted two Commencement sessions on 17 June 2025 to celebrate the achievements of its Graduating Class of 2025, with a session exclusively for graduates from the Department of Biomedical Engineering and another one for those from the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Department of Neuroscience. Presided by Professor XU Chenjie, the Associate Dean (Research) of CBM, both sessions were held warmly at the Wong Cheung Lo Hui Yuet Hall, CityUHK. Approximately 300 graduates, accompanied by 600 parents, guests, and faculty members, gathered to celebrate this significant milestone, sharing the joy of graduation and academic success.
As the Guest of Honour, Ms. Lillian CHEONG, JP, the Under Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region graced the first session with her presence. In her inspiring address, Ms. Cheong commended the graduates for their dedication to advancing biomedical innovation and contributing to societal well-being.
During the ceremonies, Miss ANTHONY Valensia Nadya, a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering graduate, and Miss LO Cheuk Yin Sabrina, a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences graduate, represented their peers by delivering heartfelt speeches and sharing their precious moments at CityUHK. Following the formal proceedings of each session, graduates, guests, and faculty members gathered for group photos and celebratory cake-cutting, toasting to the bright futures of the graduates.
