Prof. Yu Huang has been elected to serve as a member of the International Council of the International Society for Heart Research (ISHR) for the 2025–2028 term (link). Prof. Huang was among the inaugural group of six Chinese nationals elected as ISHR Fellows in 2018. In 2024, he became the first Chinese scholar to receive the prestigious Peter Harris Distinguished Scientist Award from the ISHR. Since 2016, he has also served as Vice-President of the Chinese Section of the ISHR.
