COM Research Seminar: Editors’ Round Table: The Secret of Academic Publications

The Department of Media and Communication (COM) held the first research seminar of 2022/23 Semester A, “Editors’ Round Table: The Secret of Academic Publications,” on 19 September 2022. An in-house team, including Chair Professor Yi-Hui Christine HUANG, Professor Yu-li LIU, Professor Fiona Fui-Hoon NAH, Dr. Chris Fei SHEN, Dr. Ye SUN, and Chair Professor Jonathan ZHU, shared their experience and observation. Speakers provided practical advice on the rigorous academic publication process, including journal selection, manuscript preparation, and revision and publication. The 90-min seminar offered insightful comments to unpack the “secret” of scholarly publications. Dr. Fen LIN, the research coordinator, moderated the seminar. The seminar was well received, with over 120 audiences on zoom and more than 1100 on three other live streaming platforms.
