The publication policy of the City University of Hong Kong Press was established by the University but follows international publishing practices. An Editorial Subcommittee, established under the University Press Committee, makes the final decision on publication for each submission.

LIU Meichun is a Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Translation at City University of Hong Kong. In addition to her strong publication record and scholarly research, Prof. Lui has also won a number of significant awards in teaching and research, including the NCTU Excellent Teaching Award (2014) and NCTU Distinguished Academic Book Publication Award (2013). She also serves as the external reviewer for a number of prestigious journals in the fields of Language and Linguistics.
Dr. S. Louisa Wei is an Associate Professor in the School of Creative Media at City University of Hong Kong. Her teaching focuses on documentary production, film history, storytelling, and gender in popular media. Dr. Wei is also a documentary filmmaker and a member of Hong Kong Director’s Guild. Her three feature films, Storm under the Sun (2009) and Golden Gate Girls (2014) and Havana Divas (2018), have gained international recognition from academia and film festivals. She is an award-winning author. Wang Shiwei: A Reform in Thinking (2016) won the Distinguished Publishing Award at Hong Kong Biennial Publishing Award 2017 in “Literature and Fiction” category. Esther Eng: Cross-ocean Filmmaking and Women Pioneers (co-author Law Kar, 2016) won Hong Kong Book Award in 2017. Her other books include Hu Feng: Poetic Ideal and Political Storm (2017), Cinema East and West (Expanded Edition, 2016), PreAnimate: A Guide for Independent Animators (2010), and Women’s Film: Dialogues with Chinese and Japanese Female Directors (2009).
Jackie Xiu Yan received her PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, USA. She is now Subject Leader of the MA Translation Program in the Department of Linguistics and Translation at City University of Hong Kong. Her research and teaching interests include interpreter and translator training, audio description, classical Chinese translation, and Applied Linguistics. She has published profusely in these areas. Her books include Research on Translator and Interpreter Training: A collective Volume of Bibliometric Reviews and Empirical Studies on Learners, Cultural Identity and Language Anxiety (edited), and The Commentary of the Analects (translation). She has also edited a series of history works in Chinese translation, and served as editor and reviewer for important academic journals. In 2021, she has won a silver medal in the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva. She is now President of the Hong Kong Association of University Women (HKAUW).
YAN Mingping Yanni is an Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing at City University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include international strategic alliances, ownership, technology transfer, corporate governance, organizational learning, performance and trust and Control. Dr YAN is the lead author on her latest research output, titled Corporate Heritage Management: An Empirical Study of Time-Honored Firm’s Brand and Performance.
