Ten faculty members from City University of Hong Kong (CityU) have been named as Highly Cited Researchers for 2018 by Clarivate Analytics, reflecting the high academic standard of our faculty and our excellent research performance.
Dr. Edwin Tso’s paper entitled “Development of a phase change material (PCM)-based thermal switch” was published on HKIE Transaction Vol 24 No 2 and awarded the HKIE Best Transactions Paper Prize 2018!
Mr. Elvis Au, Deputy Director of Environmental Protection Department of HKSAR Government, delivered a colloquium for the SEE community on 19 September 2018. At the colloquium, Mr. Au provided with the students and faculty members an overview of the major environmental challenges facing Hong Kong and the opportunities such challenges open up.
The team of Miss Zhou Yujing, Miss Xiao Lingran, Mr. Wan Ho Ching and Mr. Choi Lai Yun, (three second-year-undergraduates and one third-year-undergraduate majoring in Energy Science and Engineering) won Second Prize in “Technology Innovation” at the 11th Competition of National University Student Social Practice and Science Contest on Energy Saving & Emission Reduction held on 9 August 2018.
Dr. Sam Hsu’s review paper titled "A Review on morphology engineering for highly efficient and stable hybrid perovskite solar cells" is highlighted as a Hot Article and recently featured in the top 5% of most read articles in "Journal of Materials Chemistry A".
Congratulations to our final-year undergraduate student, Miss Nicole TUNG Hiu-ching, who has won the Merit Prize of Outstanding Electrical Power and Energy Engineering Student Award 2018 organized by Power and Energy Section (PES) of The Institution of Engineering and Technology Hong Kong (IET).
