Mr. Elvis Au, Deputy Director of Environmental Protection Department of HKSAR Government, delivered a colloquium for the SEE community on 19 September 2018. At the colloquium, Mr. Au provided with the students and faculty members an overview of the major environmental challenges facing Hong Kong and the opportunities such challenges open up.

The team of Miss Zhou Yujing, Miss Xiao Lingran, Mr. Wan Ho Ching and Mr. Choi Lai Yun, (three second-year-undergraduates and one third-year-undergraduate majoring in Energy Science and Engineering) won Second Prize in “Technology Innovation” at the 11th Competition of National University Student Social Practice and Science Contest on Energy Saving & Emission Reduction held on 9 August 2018.
