A team of three undergraduate students won the HK Preliminary of the PLANCKS 2022

A team of our three undergraduate students, CHEN Bowen, QIU Siyuan and LI Hengzhi, has participated in the Hong Kong Preliminary of the PLANCKS competition between March 18-20, 2022, and has been selected as one of the two winners to represent Hong Kong to compete in the final round. The PLANCKS competition, abbreviation for “Physics League Across Numerous Countries for Kick-ass Students”, is a renowned international team competition in theoretical physics for bachelor's and master's students. It has been first held in 2014 and every year ever since. PLANCKS 2022 final round is hosted by the German Physical Society and organized by the Faculty of Physics of the LMU Munich from May 5-8, 2022.

This year is the first time that a team from CityU has been selected as a winner in the preliminary and had a chance to compete in the final, which involves competitors from at least 25 countries and regions.
