This programme provides post-graduate level training in applied physics with highly marketable professional skills in the sub-fields of Bio-medical Physics and Energy Materials Physics. In addition to an advanced physics education, the graduates will gain knowledge of physical principles and how these principles can be applied to practical problems in specific related professions.

MSc in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology
As the unique programme in the field of materials engineering and nanotechnology in Hong Kong, the programme provides an opportunity for applied scientists and engineers to pursue an in-depth study in various aspects of materials engineering and nanotechnology. Courses in this programme can also be used to fulfil the "top up courses" requirement for joining the Materials Discipline of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE).

Applicants who do not wish to pursue a full programme of study at the University may apply for admission as a visiting student to attend selected course(s) and take the assessment(s) as defined in the programme scheme. Visiting students will only be admitted if the relevant School/Department is satisfied with their academic suitability for the course(s) applied for, and if there are places available on the course(s).
