The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) actively pursues excellence in teaching, research, and scholarly activities in humanities and social sciences, and places strong emphasis on development of the whole person through a well-rounded and broad-based professional education. CLASS now includes seven academic units: Chinese and History; English; Linguistics and Translation; Media and Communication; Public and International Affairs; Social and Behavioural Sciences; and Chan Feng Men-ling Chan Shuk-lin Language Centre.

· The College Orientation Ceremony will offer you a valuable opportunity to get launched on your academic journey in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS); to connect with the senior management, faculty, and fellow classmates; and to learn about important academic and non-academic opportunities that you won't want to miss.
·Students will have to bring along their CityUHK Student ID Card to the registration counter located on 4/F outside the Auditorium, Jockey Club One Health Tower for registration at 14:00.
·In the event of a Typhoon Pre-No. 8 or above or a Rainstorm Black Warning being hoisted, the College Orientation Ceremony will be postponed to 26 August 2026 (13:30 - 14:30) at the Auditorium, Jockey Club One Health Tower. Students will have to bring along their CityUHK Student ID Card to the registration counter located on 4/F outside the Auditorium, Jockey Club One Health Tower for registration at 13:00.
