CityUHK JUPAS Consultation Day 2026 concludes with record-high attendance
City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) held its JUPAS Consultation Day on 16 May, attracting over 2,500 visitors. Attendance surged by more than 150% compared to last year, setting a new record.
The event featured a rich and diverse programme, including over 50 talks, admission consultation sessions and campus tours, providing comprehensive and in-depth information for students and parents interested in applying to CityUHK.
The event commenced with a JUPAS Admissions Talk delivered by Dr CM Lam, Director of the Admissions Office at CityUHK. In his presentation, Dr Lam introduced the latest JUPAS admissions arrangements in detail, including admission criteria, scoring mechanisms and key timelines. He also shared practical programme reprioritisation strategies to help students make informed choices before the HKDSE results release. Participants actively engaged in the Q&A session to gain a deeper understanding of the admissions system and study pathways.
Following the talk, participants visited booths hosted by various colleges, schools and departments in the Yeung Kin Man Academic Building, where they interacted with professors and current students from various disciplines. The faculties showcased their latest programme offerings, teaching strengths, internship opportunities and global exchange programmes, while also sharing the diverse career pathways and employment prospects of graduates. These interactive exchanges enabled students to gain a clearer understanding of programme content and development opportunities, helping them align their interests and aspirations with various academic paths.
In addition, the Admissions Office set up dedicated Admissions Chatrooms for one-on-one consultation services, allowing students and parents to discuss individual cases in detail with admissions staff. Whether addressing admission requirements, programme selection strategies or personal profile assessment, participants received immediate professional advice, which was highly appreciated.
In addition to programme information, the event included campus tours led by student ambassadors and staff members, who guided visitors through key teaching facilities, allowing them to experience CityUHK’s learning environment and campus life firsthand. This provided further insights into the University’s commitment to whole-person education.
JUPAS Consultation Day provided students with practical admissions information and deepened their understanding of CityUHK’s academic strengths and development prospects, helping them take an important step in planning their future.
