Hall arts festival raises money for charity

Residence Masters and students living in the halls of residence at City University of Hong Kong organised an Art and Music Festival to showcase students' talents and to raise money for the Crossroads Foundation.

Around 300 participants joined the festival, which was held on the grass field outside the student halls on 24 September.

The aim of this charity event was to encourage artists, dancers and musicians living in the student halls to use their talents for the benefit of society.

Activities included Chinese calligraphy, henna body painting from India, oil painting and caricature sketching. In addition, more than 30 students participated in music performances ranging from South Asian vocals and Cantonese rock to blues rock and acoustic guitar. Dancing ranged from Latin to folk.

Students could also bid for unique experiences such as meals, hiking as well as guitar, yoga and squash lessons with Residence Masters, staff and students.
