[HKCML & CCCL] Might vs. Right: Global Power Rivalry and the Future of International Law

On 23 March 2026, the Hong Kong Commercial and Maritime Law Centre (HKCML) and the Centre for Chinese and Comparative Law (CCCL) jointly held an academic seminar entitled “Might vs. Right: Global Power Rivalry and the Future of International Law”, featuring distinguished speakers including Professor Chin Leng LIM (Choh-Ming Li Professor of Law at The Chinese University of Hong Kong), Professor ZENG Jinghan, (Professor of the Department of Public and International Affairs at City University of Hong Kong), and Professor Noam ZAMIR (Associate Professor of the School of Law at City University of Hong Kong). Together, they engaged in an in-depth discussion on the future trajectory of international law against the backdrop of power rivalries.

 

The session was moderated by Professor WANG Jiangyu, Professor of the School of Law and Director of CCCL. The welcome address was delivered by Professor Alexander LOKE, Associate Dean of the School of Law and Director of HKCML.

2026年3月23日,香港城市大學(城大)法律學院香港商務及海事法研究中心與中國法與比較法研究中心聯合舉辦了主題為「強權與公理:全球權力競爭與國際法的未來」(Might vs. Right: Global Power Rivalry and the Future of International Law)學術研討會,邀請了香港中文大學李卓敏法學教授Chin Leng LIM教授、城大公共與國際事務學系教授曾敬涵教授、城大法律學院副教授Noam ZAMIR教授擔任主講嘉賓,圍繞國際法在權力競爭背景下的未來走向展開深入研討。

 

本次研討會由城大法律學院教授、中國法與比較法研究中心主任王江雨教授主持。城大法律學院副院長、香港商務及海事法研究中心主任陸飛鴻教授則代表致歡迎辭。
