Part-time Postdoctoral Fellow in the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Health

We are seeking a highly motivated and independent Part-time Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to a wide range of advanced research projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving cutting-edge marine environmental research.

 Duties

1. Designing and conducting advanced laboratory analytical chemistry experiments, including phycotoxins determination by LC-MS/MS;
2. Performing and overseeing ecotoxicology experiments using model organisms;
3. Managing project timelines and ensuring the timely delivery of research milestones and technical reports for funding agencies;
4. Providing mentorship and guidance to junior research assistants and students.

 

Requirements

1. A Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline such as Marine Biology/Ecology, Environmental Science, Environmental Toxicology, or a closely related field;
2. Demonstrated expertise in environmental chemistry, ecotoxicological experimental design, and advanced statistical data analysis;
3. Extensive hands-on experience with the operation, method development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation, particularly GC-MS and LC-MS/MS;
4. A robust track record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals, demonstrating strong independent research capabilities;
5. An excellent command of both written and spoken English for academic writing and professional communication;
6. Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to thrive both independently and in a collaborative, leadership capacity within a team setting.

 

Salary and Conditions of Service

The salary offered will be highly competitive, calculated on a part-time basis, and commensurate with the candidate's academic qualifications and research experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental consultations at the campus clinic (subject to the University's part-time employment regulations).
