Dr. Zonglong Zhu (朱宗龍博士) at TVB Interview, ‘Innovation GPS’ (TVB創科導航 - 鈣鈦礦太陽能電池)

Recently, Dr. Zhu Zonglong was interviewed by "Innovation GPS (創科導航)" from TVB to discuss his latest breakthrough in perovskite photovoltaic research. Collaborating with Imperial College London, his team has developed a novel ferrocene-based organometallic compound for a highly efficient and stable perovskite solar cell. Compared with traditional silicon photovoltaic, perovskite solar cells can theoretically generate 20% more electricity with much lower cost but struggle with long-term stability. By introducing the novel compound, the endurance of perovskite solar cells was substantially improved in hot and humid weather. Consequently, such a success will stimulate the commercialization of perovskite solar cells. For example, it can be applied as glass curtain wall in Hong Kong's architecture.
