22 Jul 2026 Two CityUHK scholars named RGC Research Fellows In recognition of their distinguished achievements, two outstanding scholars from CityUHK have been awarded funding from the RGC under the 2026/27 RFS. The CityUHK scholars awarded under the RFS are: Professor Hou Junhui from the Department of Computer Science, College of Computing; and Professor Zhao Xiangyu from the Department of Data Science, College of Computing.

Elite young entrepreneurs gather in Hong Kong broadening the innovation and entrepreneurship landscape CityUHK held the HK Tech 300 National Start-up Competition 3rd Awards Ceremony and Launch of the 4th Competition on 16 July. Ten outstanding start-ups earned top honours among over 500 entries from Hong Kong and 12 Chinese Mainland cities for their innovations in new materials, digital health, semiconductors, AI and robotics.

The event not only deepened connections between alumni and their alma mater, but also witnessed the inauguration of the new Executive Committee of the Beijing Alumni Chapter, demonstrating alumni’s continued support for CityUHK’s development.
