From 21 to 24 July 2026, the Department of Biomedical Sciences (BMS) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) hosted a four-day summer camp for 52 undergraduate students and five staff members from Wuhan University of Technology (WUT), a prestigious “211” university ranked 26th globally by U.S. News. The delegation included the department head and discipline leader from the Department of Materials Science.
The programme featured academic lectures by BMS faculty members Profs Xi Yao, Kingston Mak, Xiaoyu Zhou and Jingjing Wu. Participants also took part in hands-on laboratory demonstrations and tours led by BMS technical team members, gaining insights into the department’s teaching and research activities.
The participants also engaged in dialogue sessions with BMS professors, PhD candidates and exchange students, providing opportunities to learn about academic life and postgraduate study at CityUHK. The summer camp concluded with a certificate presentation, marking a successful four days of academic exchange and interaction between BMS and WUT.
