Dr Beymier Han K. C., Senior Teaching Fellow of our Department of Biomedical Sciences (BMS), delivered an engaging expert talk titled “Developments, Job Requirements, Educational Pathways, and Career Opportunities in the Medical Laboratory Industry / 醫務化驗行業的最新發展、工作要求、升學及就業途徑” to S4 and S5 students from Carmel Secondary School on 16 December 2025.

The session introduced students to current developments in the medical laboratory profession, outlining key job requirements, educational pathways, and emerging career opportunities in this fast-evolving field. Through real-world insights and practical perspectives, the talk helped students better understand how biomedical science translates from the classroom to professional practice.

This campus engagement reflects our commitment to nurturing young talent and sharing applied knowledge that contributes to social and economic development. It also provided a valuable platform to introduce our BSc in Biomedical Sciences programme and its role in preparing future healthcare professionals.

We look forward to welcoming more secondary schools and continuing to build meaningful connections that inspire and empower the next generation of biomedical scientists.
